Charles:
When our mayor puts his foot in his mouth (as he all to
frequently does), we can always count on him leaving room
for his other foot.
As our City's self appointed resident-elect-expert on definitions
of pristine 'open space' not being part & parcel of golf course
land does make me wonder where mayor-jim draws "his" line
between pristine open-space anywhere (?) as he's spent the
majority of his past 8-years in our (supposed) public-service
as a bought-and-paid for toll road shill who would gladly
volunteer to drive the first concrete truck into our internationally
recognized "pristine" coastal San Mateo Watershed -
1 of only 10 on the planet of such unrivaled bio-diversity i.e.
untouched by man i.e. natural perfection i.e. pristine.
Our sacred San Mateo Watershed open space - even that,
mayor-jim Lobby's on a daily basis. Traveling as far away
as Wash DC - to pave "it" over.
mayor-him, lecturing Congress?
Boggles the mind.
Apparently, if it's not Federally Protected Wilderness Land,
mayor-him views any open space, as fair game to be paved.
In the 9-years I've observed our dahl-influenced City Council,
I can't recall a development matter he hasn't said YES to.
Never be fooled by mayor-him's aloha-spirit shirts, shorts,
ball cap, trademark sneakers - and golly-gosh demeanor.
He's as lethal a dose of whiteman-bad-medicine for this
village by the sea as is the 8-lane toll road he craves to pave.
Only way to stop mayor-him (and Norblock) - get'em the hell
out of Dodge, or at the very least - off our council, forever - and
away from all the goodness here they feel obliged, in the name
of their twisted concrete view of progress, to destroy.
The sooner the better for San Clemente.
And boy do I mean "sooner."

This was not pristine open space but a privately owned golf course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spend some time and look into the facts
