Does saving the last healthy surfbreak in 600-miles of SoCal coastline -
(from the Tijuana border north) aka Trestles/San Onofre State Beach Park
from a superfluous 'private' toll road that would destroy 60% of Cal's 5th
most popular state park (already once mitigated) - destroy a preserved
land conservancy (also already once mitigated) - pave over 10,000 years
of native-american ancestry, deeply compromising SoCal's LAST untouched
(17,000 acre) coastal watershed, considered only 1 of 10 on-the-planet
of such untouched-by-man eco-diversity - all for a 16-mile, private toll road
NO ONE will ever drive at $12 - $20 a one-way toll: OCTA 2007-MIS
Document - predicts, a Trestles toll road - would be THE LEAST used
piece of OC pavement by 2030 if it was built today.
Is this worth being concerned about?
Saving Trestles - is a global concern because the World surfs here.
It belongs to everyone, and it ain't sick.
SoCal's last heathy one.
SoCal's LAST ONE people.
Spreading the Word - Sat., June 23-07, San Mateo Camp-over. SD and SoCoSurfrider Chapter's combine efforts in the ongoing battle to Save Trestles from a superfluous 'private' OC toll road to nowhere.
