oblivious South County resident responds

5/9/07

LTE: Roots of a family tragedy - Reg., 5-9-07
--------------------------------------------------------------

Responding to Ms. Steinhauser's
critical opinion of deep South County
resident's from her Mission Viejo
homestead (isn't MV SoCounty too,
with it's own pockets of tranquility?)
implying a 241 toll road ext. will save
freeway lives is like saying the 73
toll road, and or the 241 in it's entirety
are in anyway beneficial to overall
SoCounty freeway traffic - when exactly
the opposite is true. OC toll roads exasperate
freeway traffic - not help it, as everyone's
heart goes out to the Coble family.
If the 51-miles of OC toll roads (tax
payer supported) were Freeways now,
allowing the broader dispersal of rush
hour traffic instead of holding OC freeway
traffic hostage through Non-Compete
Zones, Congestion-Pricing and endless
Bond refinancing schemes boondoggling
any real-world OC traffic relief as our
County Supervisors remain locked in
Wall St servitude - not traffic flow, OC
Freeway disasters will escalate from
pressures put upon them by toll roads
who lock the majority out. Free the toll
roads and our freeways flow safer.
A 241 ext. is superfluous to OC traffic.
Ask the OCTA.
Private-interest misinformation only
ever makes matters worse.
